Moturiki is a small island that sits just off Mount Maunganui’s Main Beach. In the past, it’s been a Māori pā, a quarry, a marine aquarium and a tourist attraction called Leisure Island. It is connected to the beach and can be accessed on foot except during a very high tide.
Painted on a hand stretched cotton canvas using high quality acrylics, signed and dated. The wooden stretcher frame is about 40mm deep.
